THE WHAT? Royal DSM is sponsoring The Skin Care Foundation’s Destination Healthy Skin mobile screening and education program, which is touring the U.S. until 11th September.
THE DETAILS The RV has two private exam rooms with local volunteer dermatologists providing free full-body skin cancer screenings on board.
The RV will spend two days in each community it visits.
THE WHY? The program has been designed to help detect early cancer, with participants receiving skin cancer prevention and early detection literature.
According to DSM, since its launch the program has provided more than 25,000 free skin cancer screenings, identified more than 10,000 potential skin cancers and precancers including 450 suspected melanomas, and distributed free skin cancer educational materials and sun protection products to tens of thousands of people.
