THE DETAILS The Estee Lauder Companies-owned brand posted the news on its Twitter account. Its announcement follows a similar decision by stablemate GlamGlow last week. Both brands set September 29, 2022 as their departure date.

THE WHY? Both brands cited ‘an accumulation of challenges’ with a spokesperson for The Estee Lauder Companies revealing to WWD that Smashbox’s sales have been ‘impacted by changes in the brand’s retail space and location, combined with competitive challenges’. There was no statement issued on the parent company’s website about the move.
