THE WHAT? L’Oréal has received the award for ESG Purpose and Commitments at the 2022 General Meeting and Gender Balance Awards ceremony, organised by the Institut du Capitalisme Responsible.

THE DETAILS The award was accepted by Group Chief Financial Officer Christophe Babule on behalf of L’Oréal.

The General Meeting and Gender Balance Awards are said to highlight the most remarkable practices of companies and promote dialogue with all stakeholders regarding General Meetings, governance, CSR and gender equality.

Babule took part in a roundtable at the event, discussing the role that L’Oréal’s purpose plays in guiding the Group’s actions and commitments on a daily basis. 

He also focused on the company strengthening its development model, which aims to combine financial value creation with social and environmental value creation.

THE WHY? According to L’Oréal, the award recognises the drive and commitment of all company teams to make its purpose of creating the beauty that moves the world a reality.

  • Hair Care Products: Shampoos, conditioners, styling products, and treatments to maintain and improve the health and appearance of hair.

  • Fragrances: Perfumes and colognes used to enhance personal scent and attractiveness.

  • Dental Care Products: Toothpaste, mouthwash, whitening treatments, and dental floss aimed at maintaining oral hygiene and enhancing smile aesthetics.

  • Beauty Devices: Devices such as facial cleansing brushes, LED light therapy masks, and microcurrent devices designed for at-home skincare treatments.
