THE WHAT? Unilever has joined forces with Boots for the second year running to support The Hygiene Bank and help tackle hygiene poverty in the UK.
THE DETAILS The initiative follows on from last year’s project, which reached over half a million people with hygiene essentials.
The 2022 You Buy, We Donate campaign runs for eight weeks and sees one hygiene product donated to the charity for every two selected Unilever products purchased either in-store at Boots or online in the UK.
The campaign will be supported with a digital activation across online and social. Branded POS, including FSDUs, gondola-ends and window takeovers will also be activated in-store to drive customer visibility and raise further awareness of the campaign.
THE WHY? The two companies are aiming to offer support to The Hygiene Bank, which currently has a waiting list of over 420 community groups requiring its services to access basic hygiene products at home, such as soap, shampoo, and deodorant.
This is likely to rise due to increased pressures on the cost of living.
