THE WHAT? Grupo Boticário is to open an innovation hub in Portugal in a bid to search for technology talent, according to a report by Forbes. 

THE DETAILS Alongside this, the company is also internationalizing the areas of technology and innovation for brands O Boticário, Quem Disse Berenice, in addition to its e-commerce.

The company is currently offering limited vacancies for professionals from around the world who live in Portugal and are licensed to work in the country. 

The roles will be remote positions for developers, UX and digital product specialists, with the possibility of working at the Group’s Lisbon office if needed. 

A-Z aesthetics

While located in Portugal, the hub will respond to the Grupo Boticário technology team, situated in Brazil.

THE WHY? The initiative is said to hope to attract talent already living in Portugal in a bid to increase hiring opportunities in the area, as well as developing digital and technological solutions for Grupo Boticário’s business. 

Daniel Knopfholz, Vice-President of Digital and Technology at Grupo Boticário, said, “We are constantly looking at trends and movements in the digital market and this includes incorporating new initiatives to attract the best talent to the Group. Between 2020 and 2021 alone, we tripled tech hires, resulting in a 206% increase in the team. Today, we have more than two thousand professionals dedicated to the development of digital and technological solutions and innovations, developers, experts in data, UX, CX data analytics and among many other tasks that work across our ecosystem.
