THE WHAT? Saks Fifth Avenue has partnered with Skinney Medspa in order to offer medical-grade cosmetic treatments in store, according to a report published by WWD.
THE DETAILS The US department store will offer a series of cosmetic procedures, including Botox, dermal fillers and AquaGold in its New York store from May 19. The new services are expected to be launched in its Miami and Houston stores later this year.
THE WHY? In store services are growing in popularity, giving consumers who are increasingly drawn to the convenience of online shopping, a reason to visit the store in person. Adriana Martino, Co-founder of Skinny Medspa told WWD, “You can go around the corner and uy a Tom Ford lipstick after your treatment. Its convenient because Saks is an elevated brand and we’re an elevated med spa and we share the same client.”
